A brief description of the student sustainability research program:

The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship (CPGC) supports student research in areas related to social justice - environmental studies is a subset of this range of subjects. Through the internship-sponsoring capacity of the CPGC, one student researched resources for conservation efforts in the Northeast.

Haverford has recently made multiple hires in interdisciplinary areas. An MOU for these interdisciplinary positions is used to help establish standards for recognition and evaluation of interdisciplinary research. Also, Haverford's financial support of faculty research is centralized and faculty focused on interdisciplinary research have access to same opportunities as faculty situated in any traditional department.

The Haverford Library offers an Environmental Studies Research guide that includes field-wide resources as well as course-level guides and knowledgeable librarians across the Tri-College Consortium: http://guides.tricolib.brynmawr.edu/environmental-studies

The library supports a growing community of faculty and student scholars.
