Committee on Environmental Responsibility Council on Sustainability and Social Responsibility The Council on Sustainability and Social Responsibility is charged with advancing the study and practice of sustainability at Haverford, marked by commitments to environmental stewardship and social responsibility within the context of the College’s Quaker values and educational mission. Committee for Environmental Responsibility The Committee for Environmental Responsibility (CER) was created by the students, faculty and staff of Haverford College and founded on the socially responsible principles of the college. CER's mission is to educate our community about global environmental concerns, and to be a positive example for students at Haverford and other colleges to follow. CER works to ensure that environmental concern is an integral part of daily life at Haverford informing our curriculum, administrative decisions, and community practices.

Haverford has completed a multi-year planning process to produce a new Sustainability Strategic Plan. While that planning work was underway, significant steps have been taken on all fronts, including: the development of a proposal for a new academic major, construction of a teaching greenhouse, adopting of the Real Food Challenge, many energy efficiency projects, campus ecology work, and more. https://www.haverford.edu/sustainability/reporting
