Has the institution conducted a GHG emissions inventory that includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions? :
Yes

Does the institution’s GHG emissions inventory include all, some or none of its Scope 3 GHG emissions from the following categories?:
All, Some, or None
Business travel Some
Commuting Some
Purchased goods and services Some
Capital goods Some
Waste generated in operations Some
Fuel- and energy-related activities not included in Scope 1 or Scope 2 None
Other categories Some

A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory, including how the institution accounted for each category of Scope 3 emissions reported above:

We reach out to numerous Colleagues across campus, who routinely collect & provide the data needed. This data is then forwarded to a 3rd party consultant who completes the college's GHG Inventory using the UNH's Campus Carbon Calculator. All is overseen by the Sustainability Coordinator & the Vice President - Chief of Staff & Chief Sustainability Officer.

Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes

A brief description of the internal and/or external verification process:

The Stone House Group (TSHG) out of Bethlehem, PA independently validates and updates the College's GHG emissions inventory. TSHG is a professional engineering firm regularily engaged in this type of work.

Documentation to support the internal and/or external verification process:
---

Does the institution wish to pursue Part 2 and Part 3 of this credit? (reductions in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions):
Yes

Gross Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions:
Performance Year Baseline Year
Gross Scope 1 GHG emissions from stationary combustion 4,454 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 4,522 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent
Gross Scope 1 GHG emissions from other sources 281 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 294 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Start and end dates of the performance year and baseline year (or three-year periods):
Start Date End Date
Performance Year July 1, 2015 June 30, 2016
Baseline Year July 1, 2010 June 30, 2011

A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted (e.g. in sustainability plans and policies or in the context of other reporting obligations):

The baseline year was adopted as the first year that a complete inventory was performed in accordance with ACUPCC requirements, and the year we were required to make our first inventory submittal under the ACUPCC program.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

There is an intentional discrepancy between the campus gross square footage in IC-2 and the "performance year" above. The GSF for our "performance year" of 7/1/15 to 6/30/16 is 1,715,556 GSF. As of STARS submission in June 2017, the campus GSF is 1,707,259 GSF, because this year the College demolished 8,297 square feet as part of a building renovation.
