A brief description of the socially responsible investment policy:
The Investment Policy Statement for the Haverford Endowment gives the Board of Managers (as advised by CISR) the ability to restrict holding securities in the endowment for social/environmental reasons in any separately managed portfolio in which we can control the holdings (not commingled funds). CISR has discussed additional principles and there is a concerted awareness of the UN Principles for Responsible Investing.
