Louis Spanias, the Sustainability Program Manager, presented at the 2018 National Conference for AASHE. At this conference, Louis served on a panel titled, "Planning to Plan? Sharing experiences from different stages of sustainability strategic planning," during which participants shared their experiences working on sustainability plans at their institutions.

Louis Spanias, the Sustainability Program Manager, currently sits as a member of the Advisory Council for AASHE, and is an active member of the Diversity & Inclusion committee. His appointment began on January 1st, 2018 and will conclude on January 1st, 2020.

HMC is a part of AASHE's Mentorship program, though which it receives advice from sustainability professionals at Willamette University.

Harvey Mudd College is constantly sharing resources and engaged in joint planning efforts with other institutions - primarily the Claremont Colleges. In particular, Harvey Mudd College and Claremont McKenna College have partnered up as co-members of the Energize Colleges program administered by Strategic Energy Innovations and funded by state utility ratepayers. Furthermore, the Hixon Center for Sustainable Environmental Design collaborates with the other Claremont Colleges on a number of initiatives and campaigns, including the 5C PowerDown competition, 5C Earth Week, and other ad hoc events throughout the year. Each of these examples have all continued through the last year and beyond.
