Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

For the 2017-18 academic year, the number of students listed for "Full-time equivalent student enrollment" is equal to the "number of students enrolled for credit." It is very unusual for Harvey Mudd College to enroll part-time students (though it is not unheard of). For 2017-18, we do not have any part-time students.

Institutional statistics regarding students enrolled for credit and full-time equivalent student enrollment can be found on this page: https://www.hmc.edu/institutional-research/institutional-statistics/institutional-statistics-students/student-enrollment/

As is noted on the page: the number of full-time students (all undergraduates) excludes anyone who is non-degree seeking, and as for full-time equivalent students: "Since 2002, Full Time Equivalent (FTE) is calculated based on Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System IPEDS fall student headcounts. The FTE for part-time students is estimated by multiplying a factor (.392857 for Private 4-year institutions) by the part-time headcount. These are then added to the full-time enrollment headcounts to obtain an FTE for all students enrolled in the fall."
