A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
[Included in all solicitations for construction and renovation project bids] HACC is committed to providing opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises(MBE), and Woman Owned business Enterprises (WBE). HACC encourages MBE and WBE firms to submit a Proposal /Bid for the Work and encourages all bidders to proactively solicit MBE and WBE firms in the bidding and subcontracting process.
Additionally all bidders are required to submit a Minority Business utilization form indicating the Name and contact information numbers for all certified minority firms solicited in preparation of the bid. The forms are reviewed to verify that minority Businesses are given the opportunity to participate in projects as well as their responsiveness and if the bidder is using the minority firm in the submission of their bid.
