Indiana's Department of Natural Resources has certified a portion of Hanover's campus as a Classified Forest and Wildland parcel. The land stewardship plan includes the goal of improving wildlife habitat.

Indiana's DNR periodically reviews a 25-acre tract of campus and has repeatedly designated this tract for the state's Classified Forest and Wildland program. The assessment is attached.

A state forester assessed the property and prepared the attached report.

The management plan is to keep this parcel in tact with no plans to harvest the trees or build on the parcel.
