Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes
A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
We have a food pantry available to the campus community in the Student Center kitchen, offering non-perishables, refrigerated and frozen items, toiletries, and personal hygiene products. This is in a highly trafficked area intentionally, as we wish to both make the pantry largely accessible while also reducing the stigma of using it as a resource. It is overseen by the campus chaplain and will be offering a work study position to a student manager to take inventory, purchase groceries, etc.
There is also a student organization that organizes food drives/basic education about the pantry.
