Name of the campaign:
E-Cycling Event (twice a year)

A brief description of the campaign:

In partnership with a local e-cycling company, Hanover College has strategically held e-cycling days for the whole of the campus community both at the end of the academic calendar year and at the start (May and September). This encourages students, faculty, staff, and community members to recycle old electronics rather than placing in a landfill during the quick departure from campus concluding graduation. Since 2020 we have collected 26,341 pounds of e-waste for proper recycling.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

We have kept items out of landfills by offering this to the whole of our campus/larger community. It is often difficult to know what to do with varying items to be recycled in a rural area and this campaign has made e-cycling accessible, easy, and predictable. We host the e-cycling truck in a large parking lot so that donors may bring items over in their vehicles and drop off as needed.
