A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
The course inventory is for the 2020/2021 academic year. Faculty were emailed near the end of the academic year asking if they offered courses that included sustainability topics, using AASHE's inclusive definition. A follow-up email was sent a few weeks later.
During the 2021/2022 year, I went through the 20/21 offerings and targeted specific courses that were not yet in the inventory and I reached out to those specific faculty. If the faculty member did not respond, I got a copy of that syllabus from our library and used the syllabus to determine if the course included sustainability.

If there were multiple sections of a course, each section was counted as an individual course. For example, a Biology course in Ecology and Evolution had 4 sections, so it was counted four times.
