All Gustavus-owned buildings are operated in accordance with multiple credits from LEED O+M standards, but are not certified. Three buildings are LEED BD+C certified: Beck Hall (Platinum), Anderson Hall (Gold), and Nobel Hall (Gold), with LEED BD + C submission in progress for a new major renovation and addition for the Lund Athletic Center.
Gustavus monitors the electricity usage of most buildings on campus using ECHELON's iLON devices, and makes continually updated kWH data publicly available online, as well as provides solar, natural gas and fuel oil use data online.
Gustavus is also participating in a retro-commissioning project to identify and implement Energy Management Improvements in several buildings, in partnership with the city and local utility.
