A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The total number of employees who conduct research was determined by counting all employees who were actively conducting research with the support of an external or internal grant from June 1, 2018 to April 16, 2021. Employees conducting sustainability research were then identified from this list by looking at each grant and determining whether it fit under the following definition of sustainability research: research focusing on climate change, global poverty and inequality, natural resource depletion, and environmental degradation.

There is a data discrepancy for Total number of academic departments between AC 9 and PRE 5, because even though we have 37 total academic departments, only 21 of those departments have conducted research in the past three years.
