The colleges dining services provider has guidelines regarding the use of compostable or recyclable materials and the purchase of local products. The dining hall is tray-less reducing food waste.


A brief description of programs and strategies institution has implemented to ensure that the guidelines are followed, including a brief description of instances when the guidelines have changed purchasing behavior, if applicable:

Service contracts are written with guidelines in place. Adherence to these guidelines is required to remain in compliance with the contract. An example is dining services is required to purchase 40% local food. Before this, local purchasing was far less.
