Green Mountain College is a rural school with the main campus located in Poultney, Vermont. Adjacent to the Poultney River, the 123-acre campus is comprised natural areas, a campus farm, and academic, residential and operational buildings. A secondary campus in located at the Killington Ski Resort in Killington, Vermont. The College's Deane Nature Preserve is located 5 miles south of the main campus, is utilized by the College for educational and recreation activities, and is open to the public for use. The Killington campus, and Deane Nature Preserve are included in the institutional boundary for all credits unless otherwise noted. The two major contractors on campus, Chartwells (Dining Services) and C&W (Facilities), are also included in the institutional boundary unless otherwise noted.
