A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
The University refurbishes damaged bicycles from campus, and then makes them available to students via the Surplus Store. The City of Grand Rapids also offers Lime e-scooter and e-bike share programs which the GVSU community may participate in.

GVSU promotes ride sharing and carpooling (https://www.gvsu.edu/bus/rideshare-carpooling-65.htm). It also operates an internal rental program (https://www.gvsu.edu/facilitiesservices/allendale/gvsu-motorpool-vehicle-rental-options-allendale-campus-29.htm).

Electric charging stations can be found in Lot F and Lot N on the Allendale Campus. On the Pew Campus, charging stations can be found in the Eberhard Lot, the first level of the Seward Ramp and the Seward Flat Lot. GVSU also offers designated parking spaces for alternate fuel vehicles.

Some of the charging stations are dual mode and some are single mode. Stations provided at the Allendale and Pew Campuses and at GVSU's Muskegon Innovation Hub.

Employees can ride the bus for free, incentivizing employees to live along the bus route between campuses.

GVSU's transportation department hosts a parking permit buyback program based on the same tuition refund schedule as Student Accounts to encourage bus use.
