Campus Dining utilizes local produces provided by Sysco of Grand Rapids and their "Michigan Grown" brands that supports 23+ farms that are local produce partners (please see uploaded document). Produce comes from Elzinga & Hoeksema Greenhouses, LLC, Van Dyk Farms, Mastronardi, L. Piggot & Girls, Pearson Foods, Ruhligh Farms, Speich Farms, Todd Greiner Farms, Van Solkema, Victory Farms, Aseltine, Scheur Farms, Lindy Prepak Farms, Eisenga Farms, DurRussell’s Farms, and Lake Michigan Produce. Produce is also grown at GVSU's Sustainable Agriculture Project and served at Engrained, which has a 3 Star Green Restaurant Certification. The Sustainable Agriculture Project offers arugula, basil, beans, beets, broccoli, carrots, cilantro, cucumber, eggplant, edible flowers, kale, lettuce, okra, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, radishes, rutabaga, scallions, spinach, squash, strawberries, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, and zucchini.

Campus Dining continuously works with our supplier to purchase from a local line of products that are both season and non-seasonal and have been approved for quality and food safety standards. Campus Dining utilizes local produces provided by Sysco of Grand Rapids and their "Michigan Grown" brands that supports 23+ farms that are local produce partners. We also purchase from another 31 local suppliers, 1 local Dairy that offers hormone free milk, 2 Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Vendors, 3 organic certified vendors, and 1 cage free vendor.
