A brief description of the open access policy, including the date adopted and repository(ies) used:
The Grand Valley State University Libraries are committed to supporting the ability of our faculty and researchers to participate more fully in the open access scholarly publication movement. Open access journals make articles freely available on the Internet, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text upon publication. The primary goal of this program is to remove financial barriers that prevent researchers from publishing in open access journals. The Libraries will cover up to $3,000 of author submission fees to support the ability of researchers to publish in established open access peer-reviewed journals and peer-reviewed journals that have an open access option. GVSU signed the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities in 2011. Additional information on open access can be found here: https://www.gvsu.edu/library/sc/open-access-publishing-support-fund-2.htm?contentid=5510FDB5-0DF5-31C9-16C28F08F8115CCA
