Yes
+ Date Revised: April 30, 2014

A brief description of the internal and/or external verification process:

Data is reported by various departments and then analyzed by the Sustainable Community Development Initiative office.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions::
Performance Year Baseline Year
Scope 1 GHG emissions from stationary combustion 13,415 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 12,008 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent
Scope 1 GHG emissions from other sources 466 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 444 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent
Scope 2 GHG emissions from purchased electricity 30,006 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent 30,181 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

A brief description of the carbon sequestration program and reporting protocol used:

GVSU maintains a 7 acre arboretum that holds 700 trees, as well as 16 additional gardens and vacant land that hold an additional 4,100 trees

A brief description of the composting and carbon storage program:

GVSU composts all food waste from the dining halls, as well as provides compost receptacles in all living centers, academic buildings, athletic facilities, and more. Our carbon storage program includes an arboretum. Established in 1990, GVSU committed to planting a tree for every ton of recycled paper. The 7 acre space currently holds more than 700 trees.
