A brief description of the garden:
A 1 acre community garden was started as a class project in 2008 to encourage sustainable agriculture using organic practices. The operation is coordinated by our Sustainable Community Development Initiative and run by a part time operations manager, students in the Student Environmental Coalition and Farm Club, and support from interdisciplinary class projects. In the past year the garden has expanded to two acres and is now called the Sustainable Agriculture Project. It has added two hoop houses and a small green house for seedlings.
