A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
GVSU recognizes the need for good quality child care for the children of our faculty, staff and students. Families have a wide range of child care needs - ranging from infant care, care for special needs children, part time care to after school care and summer care for school age children. The GVSU Children's Enrichment Center strives to create an environment that is dedicated to early learning & care for all young children and families. Additionally, Work Place Options, part of GVSU’s employee assistance service Encompass, will help faculty and staff find daycare tailored to their particular needs and assist them through providing child care searches and offering programs that address the issues related to child care. GVSU faculty and staff have access to customized daycare resource and referral, local and nationwide. They can simply contact Work Place Options at 1-800-952-3586 or visit Encompass/Work Place Options at www.encompass.us.com.
