Capital projects will not only consider long-term costs of energy but also carbon-offset purchases that could be avoided. Capital projects will be evaluated not only on the initial cost outlay and expected payback years, but also the project’s impact on GHG emissions.

Continue improvements to ongoing environmental stewardship programs including improving the built environment; increasing energy efficiency; and reducing the amount of waste generated. To help delineate direct and indirect emission sources, improve transparency, facilitate fair comparisons, and provide utility for different types of organizations and different climate policies and goals.
