An Example: GVSU has a Mercury Reduction Program. The university's goal is to replace mercury containing lab equipment and devices with non-mercury materials. Contact customer service if you have mercury devices that need to be disposed of. The mercury will then be recycled.

A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
Waste is accumulated in designated and labeled areas. Drug and Lab Disposal, Inc. pick up the Waste. The waste is logged in the Manifest Tracking system and reported to the state of Michigan. This is also reviewed in our Lab Safety Training.
