Director and other staff members from FMS often serve as guest lecturers for Biology and Environmental Studies classes. Materials are made available to new students at orientation.

Goucher is a member of the Food Recovery Network. Goucher conducts annual humane deer hunts to control the campus overpopulation. The meat from these hunts is donated to local homeless shelters. Frequent food drives also take place.
