National and international scholars visit campus to present lecturers and talks on environmental issues. In the summers of 2011, 2012, and 2013, faculty members from other colleges assisted in leading sustainability workshops to help faculty members incorporate sustainability into courses across the curriculum.

Goucher runs, jointly with Mount Holyoke College, a semester-study-abroad program at the Monteverde Institute in Costa Rica. The primary goal of this program is sustainability.

Goucher College faculty members also lead a three-week intensive course abroad to the Galapagos Islands, with an intense focus on sustainability. This course is offered every other May and will be offered in 2014.
Goucher College started a M.A. program in Environmental Sustainability that complements the M.A. in Cultural Sustainability. Both programs will have a 4 + 1 option for undergraduates within the next year. Graduate students have the option of completing dual degrees.
