Since 2011, Goucher has held summer faculty workshops focused on the development of sustainability courses. About 12 to 14 faculty members participate each semester, from all different fields of study.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
Goucher faculty were offered a stipend to participate in these summer sustainability workshops. These were funded by a grant from the Mellon Foundation. That grant has expired. However, Goucher also has an endowed fund that, when fully funded, will provide future opportunities.
