A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
During the first-year orientation all first year and transfer students are taken to Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center where they are exposed to programming related to environmental education. There have been formal introductions to the Ecopax student group, recycling, and wider sustainability issues during the campus portion of orientation. It is also common for Resident Assistants to discuss recycling when giving dorm tours to new students.
