Center for Sustainability Climate Solutions (CSCS) Student Ambassador Program

A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):

Goshen College names one Student Ambassador each year to participate with students selected from other Mennonite colleges. Students are provided formal training in climate communication, campus organizing, and inter-collegiate collaboration on environmental sustainability. In the 2018-19 school year Student Ambassadors participated in the Rooted and Grounded Conference (religion and environmental sustainability) followed by specific training based at the college's environmental learning center, Merry Lea.


A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):

In recent years target audiences are the entire student body with specific audiences being those students who attend educational events and activities. Examples include bi-weekly sustainability potluck discussions, community garden tending, advocacy of environmental policies in local city government, and organizing students to participate in the local Sunrise movement.
