The following notice is posted in residence halls at the end of the academic year.
"To avoid unnecessary filling of landfills and to encourage good stewardship of natural resources, we encourage students not to dispose of good furniture, carpet, appliances, or clothing in dumpsters.
"FURNITURE, CARPET, AND WORKING APPLIANCES:
Quality items can be donated to the Depot Thrift Shops, they donate proceeds to relief work. A truck will be located on campus ready for you to load your donated items".
