An annual chemical inventory is held, where legacy chemicals are carefully evaluated and are discarded if no longer needed. Visual Art paint wastes have been minimized by implementing a new brush cleaning system. Chemistry labs have been designed to minimize the generation of hazardous wastes.

Hazardous wastes, universal waste, and non-regulated chemical waste disposal is contracted or bid out, depending on the type of waste. Waste rechargeable batteries are recycled via RBRC. The college has committed to the development of an Environmental Management System, and is just beginning to develop this system.
