A brief description of steps taken to ensure that e-waste is recycled responsibly, workers’ basic safety is protected, and environmental standards are met:

Goshen College partners with ADEC Industries, a locally based program for providing meaningful employment for adults with various disabilities. ADEC insures that employees are well supervised, trained and enabled to work in a safe environment.


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for institution-generated materials:

Three times a year e-waste is collected and packaged to be delivered to ADEC industries. Departments are instructed not to dispose of electronic waste through any other system.


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for student-generated materials :

Students are encouraged through campus communication to dispose of any personally owned electronic waste to bring their equipment to a common site where it will be transferred to ADEC Industries for safe and proper disposal.
