A brief description of the event(s):
The Interdisciplinary Forum is a campus-wide event drawing on the expertise of students and faculty from many disciplines in order to tackle complex questions. To date the forum has addressed several issues related to sustainability including species conservation (with E.O. Wilson's visit), climate change (Bill McKibben), and environmental justice (Vandana Shiva).
In 2009 and 2010, on the designated date in March, Goshen College also participated in Earth Hour, turning off most campus lights for 1-2 hours. Students could monitor the dip in electrical usage via an online meter.
