A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:

There have been five Campus Climate Surveys since 2008. The Gonzaga website has summaries of the surveys. A consultant was hired to do another survey, which helped the university incorporate a religious accommodation policy for students to be able to participate in holy days.

Gonzaga University and the DICE office established a BIAS team to begin to address reports made by students, staff, and faculty concerning actions that took place interfered with the ability of this institution to provide a safe comfortable institution to learn.

In addition to the BIAS team, Gonzaga also engaged in a systematic campaign to encourage students and other members of the community to report actions of hate and aggression that were made to discriminate.

Does the assessment process address campus climate by engaging stakeholders to assess the attitudes, perceptions and behaviors of employees and students, including the experiences of underrepresented groups?:

Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success?:

Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity?:

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:

This assessment is then utilized to assist in working to adapt university policies, the Student Code of Conduct, and assist in determining what reasonable accommodations are available to a person regarding their religion, disability, etc. During the 2018-2019 School Year, 106 BIAS Reports for 85 unique incidents were submitted for review
