2,014

A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:
The Green Fund was started in 2014 to promote sustainability on campus and support student-led initiatives, while giving hands-on experience and great networking opportunities. These one-time grants are provided through the $5 opt-out sustainability fee in our tuition per semester and actualizes Gonzaga’s mission of education and research.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
Selection of projects funded by the Green Fund is conducted by the Gonzaga Student Body Association's Sustainability Committee, by committee vote. Students have the opportunity to work with faculty or staff advisors in preparing their Green Fund application, and the Director of Sustainability serves as a non-voting member of the Committee to provide advice on any potential decisions.
