Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Gettysburg's GHG Inventory is completed bi-annually using the Sustainability Indicator Management & Analysis Platform (SIMAP) to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions. Scope 1 emissions were calculated by collecting necessary data from Facilities Services. Scope 2 emissions were calculated by collecting data from electricity consumption and REC purchases. The market-based method was utilized to calculate net Scope 2 emissions. Some Scope 3 emissions categories were estimated by College staff.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes
A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:
A Stonehouse budget consultant is consulted during the initial organization of where to get the information for the report from, and then again to look over the finished (or nearly finished) report.
Documentation to support the GHG inventory verification process:
