Campus Climate Change and Sustainabilty Committee
A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
In 2020 the College restructured our Campus Climate Change and Sustainability Committee. The Committee has been in existence since 2007, but received a new charge/direction from President Iuliano. The Committee has 12 members and is co-chaired by an Environmental Studies Faculty and a Senior Director/Administrator from Fiance and Administration. Representatives all College Divisions and students leaders are on the committee.
A brief description of the employee educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The committee is focused on the entire campus in making sure everyone is aware of the Campus Commitment to Sustainability.
Committee Charge:
• Raising campus awareness of environmental and sustainability issues.
• Coordinating, promoting, and expanding campus recycling programs.
• Coordinating and promoting awareness of individual environmental responsibility.
• Participating in data collection and reporting activities for the STARS Report, which measures institutional progress towards carbon reduction and increased sustainability.
• Providing recommendations to the administration regarding future environmental and sustainability policies.
Committee Charge:
