Sustainability Interns
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Sustainability Interns work to educate the campus on how to live a sustainable life on our campus. They accomplish this by keeping the students engaged in our efforts as a liaison between the student body and Facilities Services in matters pertaining to sustainability. A few things they consistently do are coordinate with and support other sustainability leaders on campus at monthly meetings, and give a presentation at new student orientation.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The target audience is the entire student body. First year students are reached through the orientation program. Workshops offered throughout the year target all students. Various methods are used to reach a wide audience, from passive programming like posters and social media to active workshops at the Opportunities Fair and in residence halls.

Painted Turtle Farm Program Coordinators
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Painted Turtle Farm PCs work daily on the farm to cultivate crops for a 20 week CSA program. They also work with and educate community volunteers that visit the farm and local Latino families who have their own plot on the community garden portion of the farm. Finally, they collaborate with other groups on campus (student clubs) on educational programs related to the environment and sustainability (film discussions; recycling and composting awareness). All students working for CPS go through a rigorous training period to introduce them to the social justice issues that
they are confronting, and prepare them to coordinate and facilitate their various outreach programs in the community. In addition, PCs at PTF receive training in Certified Naturally Grown methods as the farm is a CNG farm. An example of peer-to-peer education would be tours that PCs give to all volunteers, as well as to some classes as "field trips" introducing them to the philosophy and sustainable practices of CNG.
