Yes, Gettysburg has assessed student body diversity through analysis of institutional data on broad indicators of diversity such as race/ethnicity, religious preferences, political views, socioeconomic status, gender identity and sexual orientation. We routinely track the student body composition by these indicators, and also collect and analysis data on the experience, perceptions of climate, engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes of diverse groups for comparative purposes to identify any gaps that need to be addressed. We have also compared the retention and graduation rates for diverse groups, such as between those of White students and students of color. In addition to tracking historical trends, peer school benching data were also analyzed whenever available and appropriate to identify areas where we fall short.
