Title or keywords related to the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Car Share

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

A carshare program is being implemented on campus in Fall of 2015. The program allows for students to reserve and rent one of two cars that are kept on campus by the hour for up to four days.

A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):

The program is meant to compliment our no cars for first years policy as well as encourage not bringing a car to campus for upperclassmen. There is financial incentive to do this and there is real potential of decreasing unnecessary car use, while allowing for students that could not previously afford to get off of campus. Near enough to Gettysburg are areas such as the Appalachian Trail, DC, Baltimore and many other places that present students with opportunities to gain perspectives as well as opportunity.
