Yes
A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:
Georgia Tech’s strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion serves as a framework that guides Institute, college, and unit leadership in the work needed to become a more equitable and inclusive campus community for all students, faculty, and staff. Georgia Tech conducts a Campus Climate Survey every four years as a tool to help Institute Leadership define, measure, and assess our progress toward the goals defined in its strategic plan. The Campus Climate Survey challenges students, faculty, and staff to provide honest feedback about their experiences as part of the Georgia Tech campus community. The survey is designed to provide insight into what it’s like to be a member of the Georgia Tech campus community based on the interacts had on campus and experiences in classrooms, labs, schools and colleges, and workplace environments. The most recent survey was taken in 2022 and the results can be found here: https://diversity.gatech.edu/research-education/research/campus-climate-surveys
Over the last several years, Georgia Tech has participated in the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award application process. Georgia Tech earned the HEED Award for the 9th consecutive year in 2022. Applications are comprehensive, covering all aspects of campus diversity and inclusion. One of the goals of the application process is to help institutions of higher education assess their diversity efforts in order to build on their success and improve where necessary.

Once the survey window closes, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion begins to synthesize the data and translate the results into reports that will be shared with everyone in the campus community. Institute leadership, including the President’s Cabinet and Deans, will discuss strategies that will allow us to build upon the strengths revealed by the surveys and identify areas where we can improve campus climate and culture. In addition, townhalls will be scheduled to communicate survey results to the community and encourage robust conversations that will help to identify ways to capitalize on our strengths and address concerns as we pursue our goal of building a more inclusive campus community for all.
