A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
We have counters on our shuttle buses, and count all riders. Several student questionnaires (with up to 10% response rates) were used to characterize commuting behavior. We have also used traffic count data for driving (parking lot occupancy) and bike riders (observation and bike rack counts).
