A brief description of how the employee educators are selected (1st program):
This program targets all departments, outside of the Office of Sustainability, on the Georgia College campus. Departments self select into the program, by asking to participate upon seeing our advertisements for it. Once a department agrees to participate, one member of the department is appointed as the "Green Bobcat Liaison." This Liaison agrees to attend the initial training, receive periodic information from the Office of Sustainability, and ensure that all new staff are trained about the materials and the program.

Once a department selects into Bobcats Work Green, the Chief Sustainability Officer and Sustainability Coordinator set up an hour long session during which they educate the members of that department about what sustainability is, how it is implemented on campus, as well as how they can employ sustainability practices in their daily work lives. Further training and information is provided periodically to the Liaison, who ensures it is provided to the department members.
