GW faculty, staff, and students are eligible for a discounted Capital Bikeshare annual membership of only $25, and there are more than a dozen Capital Bikeshare docks on or immediately adjacent to university campuses. GW also maintains several facilities for bike commuters on university property, and bike infrastructure exists across much of the public right-of-way that goes through the Foggy Bottom Campus. The university has more than 700 bicycle parking spaces available at street level and within academic and residential buildings. Additional bicycle facilities are proposed at the university’s pending development sites. GW's Lerner Health and Wellness Center offer a shower-pass program for bike commuters at a discounted rate of $39 per month.
