Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes
A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
GW's food pantry is called "The Store". The Store is a student-run food pantry at the George Washington University (GW) that is managed by the Store student organization with oversight from the university's Center for Student Engagement, providing resources and support for students living with food insecurity. In recent years, there has been growing sensitivity to food insecurity on college campuses as students make hard choices about how to spend their limited resources. The Store was founded on the principles of Faith, Trust, and Respect, and these values guide its work every day. The Store's mission is to address student need at GW by offering food and other resources to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
