Through collaboration, research, and action, the Council will propose a series of best practices that benefit all members of the GW community, enhance the experience of traditionally underrepresented populations, and cultivate a more inclusive climate for students, staff, faculty and the broader community, of which George Washington is an integral part.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion is led by the Vice Provost and consists of the Multicultural Student Services Center, Office of Disability Support Services, Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service, Title IX Coordination, Campus Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives and the GW Tutoring Initiative. The Office of the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion advances equitable and welcoming learning and
working environments that foster a culture of inclusive excellence—creativity and innovation through diverse people, ideas and perspectives. The Office engages in
activities designed to support and promote the development of citizen-leaders and that improve the capacity of individuals and communities.
