Listed below is a sample of the learning outcomes associated with GW's undergraduate sustainability minor degree. All graduating students completing the requirements for a minor in sustainability will be able to: 1) Apply the concepts of sustainability to issues of human welfare and social equity, the environment, and the economy; 2) Adapt and apply knowledge, theories, and methods learned to analyze sustainability issues and/or practices; 3) Connect and extend basic sustainability concept(s) to a critical problem facing society, using student’s involvement in the issue as the basis for analyzing the challenges and developing and solutions to the problem."

(1) Total graduates of 7,682 is for the academic year 2011-2012 and includes BS and MS in health sciences but excludes 619 other graduates of medical and nursing schools (e.g., MD). This number includes many certificate programs. (2) in 2011-2012, GW awarded 2,316 Bachelors, 3921 Masters, and 1050 Doctorate degrees.
