A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:

HR amplifies training opportunities for faculty & staff offered by the University Sustainability office and other campus partners throughout the year in our HR News weekly newsletter. We also share items from the Commonwealth's CommonHealth network. The well-being seminar series is hosted by the Faculty-Staff Engagement Team. The annual Faculty-Staff Enrichment Day is a conference-style full-day professional development offering, with breakout sessions, networking, and keynote speakers. In 2022, the theme was "Renew, Refresh, Reimagine," offering opportunities to consider strategies and actions to combat burnout in the "now normal" world of work, transformed by the global pandemic.

Throughout the academic year, the Office of Human Resources and Payroll holds a physical well-being seminar series, covering a broad spectrum of topics. All staff members are encouraged to attend these sessions. Moreover, the office annually holds a Faculty-Staff Enrichment Day with breakout sessions and keynote speakers centered around a theme, usually current events in the Mason community. In 2019, the theme was “Adaptable, Flexible, Resilient.”
