The Mason Archival Repository Service (MARS) offers archiving and sharing options that include persistent URLs, DOIs, searchable metadata, full-text indexing, and long-term preservation. The repository services offered are a free, secure place to archive and share research output. The George Mason Dataverse is used for archiving/publishing research data, numeric and geospatial data files.

Yes

A brief description of the open access APC fund:

We have shifted our OA funding support to "read and publish" agreements negotiated between publishers and the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA). The majority of these agreements eliminate 100% of the APC for Mason authors. Some offer discounts. By virtue of these agreements, we are able to provide APC relief for a much greater number of authors than our OA Publishing Fund was able to support. Mason offers advice and support for university departments, centers and units interested in producing online, open-access journals. We currently use the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, hosted on library servers.
