George Mason University does not have a formal workplace health and safety baseline year adopted, therefore a 3 year period from 2011 to 2013 was used to show workplace health and safety performance.


A brief description of the institution’s workplace health and safety initiatives:

George Mason University's Environmental Health and Safety office administers many health and safety programs in an effort to provide the framework for a safe and healthful workplace for George Mason University employees as well as maintain compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. The Environmental Health and Safety office offers job and project specific Occupational Health & Safety training to students and employees.
