A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :

Every three years, the Quality of Worklife Task Force (QWL) at George Mason University (Mason) administers a survey to all university employees about work life at Mason, including sources of stress and satisfaction on the job, as well as areas in the workplace that need improvement. The QWL surveys are developed and distributed in an effort to gather the broadest possible input from the members of the university community in order for Task Force recommendations to be consistent with university needs.

George Mason University's Institutional Research and Reporting (IRR) Office collects annual data on retention rates by race/ethnicity and gender. IRR also collects annual data on degrees and certificates awarded by gender and ethnicity, and enrollment trends by ethnicity and programs. Data was last collected in 2013, and results are used for assessing equity and supportive programs for different demographics.

George Mason University's Institutional Research and Reporting (IRR) Office collects annual data on racial and ethnic distribution of university personnel. Data was last collected in 2013, and results are used to ensure that supportive programming is available and representative of the diverse demographics.
